I listened to this book on audio. Definitely one of the best books that I have read this year. This is a story set back during the beginning of the civil rights movement. It is told from three different perspectives. Two of them are maids and one is a society girl. The way the story weaves between the three of them is truly beautiful. It really got me thinking about that time in our history in a different way. But beyond that, it is just a beautifully written, heart-moving story. I definitely think that this is a book worth picking up.

I listened to the first three cds of the audio book before I had to return it because somebody had it on hold. I never bothered trying to get again. I want to read the hard copy one day. :)
It is definitely one of those slow builds. By the end, I was putting stuff aside so that I could just listen. I was trying to find time that I could ride in the car so I could listen. :)
Just wanted you to know I have been reading all your reviews and I just got The Help. I am looking forward to reading it. I have read some of your other recommendations. I am also reading "A Voice in the Wind" by Francine Rivers. Have you read this one? I saw you read Redeeming Love. Thanks for the blog :) Miss ya girl!
